Parmveer-Masuta-Collages-A

Parmveer Masuta
For the first collage that I was working with I wanted to get an open landscape view of nothing, so I can work with empty space. I found this spot on Paradise Road in Modesto, and it fitted perfectly with what I had in mind. The thing I had in mind was to take a landscape and make a better landscape out of it. A strange idea, but I loved it! I loved the idea of taking a boring landscape and making an interesting landscape out of it.
I used mountains in the front and in the back to show distance and the water leads the viewer from the front to the back. I used grass to show the viewer that the landscape is coming to life, but also kept the dirt to give that feeling that it was once nothing. The elephants are shown because the landscape is becoming a home again to life overall.
